B.O.K. Nursing Home is a 24-hour nursing care facility centrally located in the capital of Westmoreland, with close proximity to the Public General Hospital, Police Station and Fire Station. It is a subset of the B.O.K. Society which houses other nursing facilities of international ownership and standards.
At B.O.K. WHAT WE OFFER
GENERAL SERVICES AND GERIATRIC CARE INCLUDES:
- 24-hour nursing care
- Three (3) meals per day
- Laundry services
- Monitoring of blood pressure and blood sugar levels
- Two (2) doctor’s visits per year
- Reporting of health conditions to resident’s relatives

- Transportation services to health facilities

The facility also offers:
- Daily visiting hours of 10am to 6pm

- Professional, courteous and reliable staff
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Upon admission, the following must be presented:
- A recent medical report for resident
- All planned appointments and doctors’ visits (appointment card)
- Contact information for local and overseas relatives/clients
Relatives/clients are expected to provide the following for the resident:
- Personal care items – including (but not limited to) toothpaste, toothbrush, rags, soap, lotion, clothing and other toiletries.
- Additional snacks, fruits, juices etc.
- Adult diapers (where applicable)
- Mobility aids – wheelchairs, walkers, etc (where applicable)
Relatives/clients are also responsible for:
- Doctors’ fees
- Transportation costs
- Pharmaceutical purchases
- All other medical expenses
Relatives/clients are encouraged to accompany their loved ones to their medical appointments as much as is possible.
The basic care fee is currently set at a minimum amount and is subject to change due to external inflation. Additional fees may be required depending on the clinical condition of the resident.
Fees are payable on a monthly basis, for which the date will be assigned by the institution. It is usually the same date as that of admission. A deposit of one (1) month’s fee is required with the first payment, on or before admission. Fees are required to be paid on time to ensure the continued care of the resident.
Termination of contract by reason of departure or death does not warrant a refund of any fee. Residential fees are non-refundable. Deposits may be considered for refund at the discretion of the managerial board and after the necessary obligations to the institution have been cleared. Refunds are paid out no less than one month subsequent to termination of the contract.Â

Residents’ Rights
Each resident in the nursing home has the right to:
- Receive a contract outlining the rights and obligations of both the nursing home and the resident.
- Quality care which is appropriate to his/her needs.
- Participate in the formulation of his/her care plans and be informed of all services that may be relevant to their needs regardless of their availability.
- Full information about his/her own state of health and available treatments.
- Maintain control over, and continue to make decisions about the personal aspects of his/her daily life, financial affairs and possessions.
- Be consulted on, and to choose to have an input into, decisions about his/her living arrangements in the home.
- Personal privacy.
- Live in a safe, secure and homelike environment.
- Maintain his/her personal independence, which includes recognition of personal responsibility for his/her own actions or choices, including those within which there is a degree of personal risk.
- Take responsibility for their own personal affairs and to undertake daily living tasks of which they are capable.
- Be treated with dignity and respect.
